Why Write a Blog on Spiritual Warfare??

In February 2016, I was attending a ‘Dream and Vision Interpretation’ conference. While having my dream interpreted, one of the speakers prophesied over me that Jesus would give me a book to write on warring in the spirit or spirit realm, and writing testimonies. That prophesy is what has planted the seed for this study and grown into the writing of this study book on warring in the spirit.

I am no perfect Christian, but I have come to know the One who is love who has perfected, loved, and nurtured me better than any human can.

Why write this book? When there is no doubt many books on the market with the topics covering spiritual warfare. The foundation of this book is to focus on Jesus (Heb 12:2) and what His Word the Bible has to say about been a spiritual warrior, who goes to war in the spirit realm on behalf of others and for others. My heart is to equip believers with knowledge and understanding, because it says in Hosea 4:6 that my people are destroyed for the lack of knowledge. As you do this study my  heart’s prayer is the same as Paul’s found in Ephesians 1:17-19, that God would give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation, in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your heart would be opened, that you may know what the riches of his calling, what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe according to the working of his mighty power.

The first topic section of this study was inspired by a sermon I heard preached at my church about a couple of months after the prophetic word was given to me , it was entitled Love Protects. This was preached by David Melhuish, and his sermon notes were the framework of this category of love protects.

Why war in the spirit? Because, Jesus commands us to love. Why love? Luke 10:27, lists the greatest commandment which is to love God and others, the evidence that we love God is that we will keep his commandments….  if you love me you will keep or obey my commandments (John 14:1). It is from the exchange of a love relationship that we with have with our God that we will obey Him and love others. As we protect our relationship with God and fight in the spirit for others to know him, that makes us warriors. Warring in the spirit makes us warriors as members of the army of the Lord.

Always Remember if we do not have love then what we do is worthless in Gods eyes .In 1 Cor 13:1-3 Paul the author talks about all these amazing supernatural good works that he can use to minister to himself and others, but says if he does not have love they are worthless to him or mean nothing to him, there is no substance to what he does.

My challenge to you as you read through these short studies is that you would be equipped to understand who you are in Christ and walk out your God- given authority to war in the spirit as a good warrior/soldier of God and to accept the suffering that comes with this, just as Paul encouraged Timothy to do. I pray that we may be able to identify with what Paul said to Timothy at the end of his life (Timothy 4:7) I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

What this space and enjoy the jouney!
